Patient Experience Internship Program

Program summary

The department of Patient Experience revolves around enhancing patient-centered care. Interns will be taking on a wide variety of tasks during their time with the Patient Experience department and Volunteer Services.

This internship is an academic and professional experience intended to assist in learning goals and objectives with measurable outcomes. These learning goals and objectives may include career, skill and personal development.

The internship will consist of interns communicating with nursing and administrative staff, patients and completing numerous tasks around the medical campus. Interns will be given a multitude of opportunity in assisting with projects and assignments and implement new ideas to enhance the patient experience.

Please be advised, this is not a clinical volunteer position and transferring to specialty departments to shadow is not allowed.

Program requirements

• Must complete all forms, background check, general onboarding, and on-site orientation.
• Must be 18 years of age and a current college student
• Great communication skills and empathetic towards others
• Must commit to 5 hours a week minimum
