UCI Health will see you now: Welcome to our new co-workers and patients from Fountain Valley, Lakewood, Los Alamitos and Placentia Linda!

Refer a Patient

Refer a patient

UCI Health is dedicated to supporting community providers, and we welcome referrals to our services. We offer resources and tools for referring providers and have a team of professionals available for support.

Our nationally renowned physicians and healthcare providers are ready to care for your patients. UCI Health providers can see patients in our offices throughout Orange County and surrounding communities, or online via video consultation. We also offer second opinions and consults for clinical trial eligibility.

Make a referral

There are two ways to make a referral.

UCI Health Online referral portal

UCI Health now offers an online portal that will facilitate the referral process and improve communication with physician partners. the UCI Health Referral Portal offers streamlined access to request a new consult or appointment with UCI Health physicians. This tool allows physicians and office personnel to see real-time updates on the status of requests and provides a secure platform to send all of the necessary documents.

Routine referrals take 48 to 72 hours to process. Urgent referrals are processed between 24 to 48 hours. Partners will no longer need to call us to verify information, as confirmation is immediate.

To start using the tool, visit the website and create an account: https://referralportal.ucihealth.org/

Send a fax to our referral center

While the online referral portal is the preferred method, the UCI Health Referral Center is still able to accept faxed referrals.
