UC Irvine’s Malik to discuss cardiovascular health on Healthy OC

Dr. Shaista Malik, director of the UCI Health Preventive Cardiology Program, will appear this week on "Healthy OC" to discuss women’s cardiovascular health.
"Healthy OC" airs on PBS SoCal, formerly known as KOCE-50. The interview will be rerun during the "Real Orange" news program at 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 and at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29. Please check the PBS SoCal website to find the channel on your cable provider.
The UCI Health Preventive Cardiology Program is for people with or without known cardiovascular disease, who have risk factors such as obesity, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol levels, diabetes, a tobacco habit or family history of heart problems. A multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians and researchers will analyze a person’s condition and determine a plan to improve cardiovascular health.
