UC Irvine's ZotZine features an article about the expanding role of robotics in the operating room at UC Irvine Medical Center, including the new SpineAssist system for complex spine cases. In addition, the university has created the nation’s first Robotic Oncology Center to further the uses of precision surgery in cancer treatment, including thyroid, lung and colorectal procedures.
