Conductive Keratoplasty

Conductive keratoplasty (CK) uses low energy radio waves to change the focus of the eye to treat presbyopia (farsightedness).

This is an alternative to laser-based procedures such as, LASIK or PRK, and may be an option for you.

Unlike LASIK or PRK, no tissue is removed from the eye during a CK procedure that takes only a few minutes.

CK also is being investigated as a way to correct certain types of astigmatism that create an irregular eye surface as a result of trauma or surgical incisions.
