The UCI Health — Fountain Valley PGY1 Pharmacy Residency prepares you to confidently manage medication therapy for a variety of diseases.
During clinical rotations, you will refine your drug therapy skills through patient care and develop expertise in specialized areas. You will also enhance your communication skills and gain experience educating healthcare professionals, patients, students and the community.
You will develop a personal practice philosophy, monitor your performance and commit to ongoing professional growth. Upon completing the program, you will have a clear career plan and valuable job skills.

Program Mission
Since 2006, UCI Health — Fountain Valley has offered an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in General Pharmacy Practice. The program’s goal is to equip you with the skills, behaviors and attitudes necessary to succeed in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of acute care hospital pharmacy.
