Ophthalmology, Cornea Surgery, Uveitis and Ocular Immunology
Dr. Sanjay R. Kedhar is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of uveitis and other autoimmune and infectious eye diseases.
He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., followed by an ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Next, he completed fellowships in uveitis, ocular immunology and cornea at Johns Hopkins University's Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, Md. He previously served as chief of ophthalmology services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
Kedhar’s research focus include white dot syndromes, juvenile idiopathic arthritis-associated uveitis and treatment outcomes for ocular inflammatory disease. A national and international lecturer, he is the author of more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and a contributor to several textbooks. He also participates in medical missions around the world as a member of Operation Restore Vision.
