Our board-certified vascular and endovascular specialists are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of the complete range of diseases and conditions affecting the circulatory system, including:
- Aneurysms (abnormal enlargement of blood vessels)
- Arterial dissection (tearing and disintegration in the layers of artery walls)
- Cerebrovascular disease (disease of the blood vessels leading to the brain)
- Lymphatic disorders (diseases affecting lymphatic circulation)
- Non-atherosclerotic vascular disorders (vascular diseases unrelated to hardening of the arteries)
- Peripheral arterial disease (blockage of blood vessels leading to the legs)
- Venous disorders (varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis)
Our fellowship-trained physicians are highly skilled at open, minimally invasive and endovascular surgical techniques.
Endovascular approaches allow for repairs to be made within blocked blood vessels. These less invasive procedures mean shorter hospital stays, a lowered risk of infection and faster recovery time.

The human body is made up of a complex network of arteries, veins and capillaries, collectively known as the vascular (or circulatory) system. These vessels carry vital fluids and blood to organs, tissues and limbs. When something goes wrong, quick and skilled intervention is necessary.
Our UCI Health vascular and endovascular specialists are board-certified experts at evaluating and treating patients with the complete range of diseases and conditions of the circulatory system.
Our physicians are skilled in traditional open surgery as well as in minimally invasive and endovascular approaches. Often hybrid combinations of these skills are used to optimize patient care and outcomes. Since endovascular procedures are less invasive, our patients experience shorter hospital stays, fewer infections and less overall recovery time.
Our state-of-the-art hybrid endovascular suites are among the most sophisticated interventional operating rooms in Orange County. They allow our surgeons immediate access to high-quality, three-dimensional imaging, enabling them to work with greater accuracy and speed and less radiation exposure for the patient.
Our focus is to treat the whole patient, incorporating preventative and non-surgical treatments for many vascular diseases. This includes medical management, advanced pharmacotherapy, dietary and lifestyle modification, exercise or physical therapies.
We provide thorough, compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs. And at Orange County’s only university medical center, our patients also have access to the full range of high-quality subspecialty care.
Our vascular and endovascular surgical team is an integral part of multidisciplinary UCI Health Cardiovascular Center, which includes cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists and vascular medicine specialists.
