Our mind and body therapies include:
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): This form of meditation has been shown by numerous studies to reduce chronic pain, anxiety, depression and hypertension. Mindful awareness can be described simply as paying attention to in-the-moment experiences with openness, curiosity and self awareness. For some, mindfulness can be accomplished through meditation, yoga, art or time spent in nature. Others may require more systematic training.
- Diet and nutritional education: With today’s busy lifestyles, proper nutritional intake often gets neglected. This is an important component to overall good health, so we offer training by a registered dietitian that includes meal planning, cooking and weight management strategies. - Massage: Massage provides well-documented physical and mental benefits. We offer a wide variety of massage therapies to relax, reduce pain and improve your overall well being. Read more about medical and sport massages ›
- Yoga or tai chi: These ancient, spiritual-based practices from Asia provide a variety of mental and physical benefits. Our weekly Naam-style yoga classes are open to all ages and levels of flexibility. Tai chi, which has been described as “medicine in motion” by Harvard Health Publications, offers similar benefits for health and healing. See more about our yoga classes ›
