Returning Home After Rehabilitation
The Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) strives to treat the whole person — not just the illness or the disability. Through a combination of care and services, it is our hope that you regain your independence by acquiring daily living skills that you will use when you return home.
Because your family and caregivers are so important for ongoing support, training for these people in your life is an essential part of our program.
To ease your transition back into the family or the community, we provide referrals for medical equipment, home care and evaluation services as you need them.
When appropriate, we also provide referrals to community resources, including day treatment programs, outpatient rehabilitation programs and community adjustment training programs.
