Acoustic Neuroma
Acoustic neuromas are benign tumors of the nerve that runs from your inner ear to your brain. Also known as vestibular schwannomas, acoustic neuromas often grow slowly.
Symptoms
Symptoms of an acoustic neuroma include:
- Hearing loss
- Ringing in the affected ear
- Dizziness
- Facial weakness or numbness
Treatment
The treatment for an acoustic neuroma can include monitoring of the tumor, surgical removal or radiation therapy.
