Dr. Bryan K. Sun is a board-certified UCI Health dermatologist who treats the full range of skin conditions and disorders. His clinical interests include genetic skin diseases.
He earned a medical degree and a PhD from the physician-scientist training program at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He completed a residency in dermatology at Stanford Medical School in Palo Alto, Calif.
Sun's research is focused on the genetic and molecular regulators of skin development and diseases. His research interests include determining the function of non-protein coding genomic elements in the skin with a focus on non-coding RNAs; discovering new disease-causing genetic mutations in the coding and non-coding genome and understanding their molecular mechanisms; and understanding the genetic and epigenetic effects of medications on the skin. He is the author or co-author of more than a dozen papers published in leading dermatology journals.
He sees patients in Irvine, Laguna Hills, Orange, Tustin and Yorba Linda.
