Dr. James Katrivesis is a UCI Health vascular and interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive treatments for a wide range of clinical problems.
Katrivesis’ clinical interests include prostate artery embolization, a nonsurgical procedure for patients with urinary problems related to an enlarged prostate. He also is interested in interventional oncology treatments for liver cancer and procedures for portal hypertension, an increase in blood pressure within a system of veins called the portal venous system.
Katrivesis earned his medical degree at UCI School of Medicine. After an internship and residency in general surgery at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
