Dr. Siwei Dong is a UCI Health vascular surgeon with comprehensive expertise across all aspects of vascular surgery.

She completed her medical education at Des Moines University in Iowa, followed by a residency in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. During her time at the Cleveland Clinic, Dong honed her ability to perform intricate vascular procedures and managed complex vascular problems, further solidifying her clinical acumen and surgical skills.

Driven by a commitment to excellence and patient-centered care, Dong dedicates herself to understanding the unique needs of each patient. Her top priority is her patient's well-being and long-term health. Dong’s dedication extends beyond immediate patient outcomes; she strives to foster trust and confidence, ensuring that patients and their families feel supported and informed throughout their care journey.

Her clinical interests include aortic disease, limb salvage, carotid disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, dialysis access and mesenteric and renal vascular disease. She is able to balance traditional open surgical techniques with the latest advancements in minimally invasive procedures to provide the most effective and personalized treatment plans. Dong’s expertise and contributions to the field have been recognized through her presentations at national conferences and her authorship of numerous research articles in leading vascular surgery journals.
