Her research interests include triple negative breast cancer and quality of life improvement. 

She earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, followed by a chief year. Next, she completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at UC Irvine.
