Orange, Calif. — UCI Health is pleased to announce the dedication of UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center — Fountain Valley. Leaders from UCI Health and the Fountain Valley community gathered Wednesday to cut the ribbon for the center at 11190 Warner Ave., Suite 115.
Dr. Emad Elquza, physician-in-chief of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, says the expansion of world-class cancer care in the region represents a commitment to improving the health of the community. UCI Health will be able to give advanced care to more patients and increase access to ground-breaking clinical trials.
UCI Health, Orange County’s only academic health system, purchased the center in October 2023 from GenesisCare as part of its effort to expand access to specialty cancer care across Orange County. Last month, the system established the UCI Health Community Network with the acquisition of four former Tenet Healthcare hospitals and ambulatory centers in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
The center’s radiation oncology team is led by Dr. Quoc-Anh Ho and Dr. Regiane De Andrade and features a multidisciplinary team of radiation oncology specialists, including medical physicists, certified radiation therapists and medical dosimetrists. All work in collaboration with your medical and surgical oncologist to ensure your care is efficient, compassionate and comfortable.
The Fountain Valley radiation oncology team specializes in treating a wide range of tumors, including:
- Benign tumors
- Brain and central nervous system
- Bone and soft tissues
- Breast
- Cervix, ovaries and uterus
- Gastrointestinal tract
- Head and neck

The UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center based in Orange County and features a full range of cancer specialty care at its flagship location in Orange, including radiation oncology.
This summer, UCI Health will more than triple the size of its cancer services when it opens the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and Ambulatory Care facility at the UCI Health ― Irvine medical campus, located on the corner of Jamboree Road and Birch Street. The complex will feature state of-the art radiation oncology services, an expansive infusion center, eight outpatient operating rooms and 52 private exam rooms. It is also the future home of Orange County’s only adult hematopoietic stem cell/bone marrow transplant program.
Last fall, the system increased access to specialty cancer care when it opened the new, expanded infusion center at its UCI Health ― Yorba Linda multispecialty center.
