UCI Health nurse recognized by Oncology Nursing News
IN THE NEWS: Oncology Nursing News recognizes Christina Kirk, RN, AOCNP, as an Oncology Nursing Champion finalist. Kirk is a nurse practitioner with the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
“It’s a privilege, I feel very honored to be helping patients,” Kirk told Oncology Nursing News.
Kirk chose her current position because she wanted to work with clinical trials. She is passionate about academic research and believes the opportunity to participate in clinical trials is very important for patients.
“[I see] it as the oncology nurse’s responsibility to talk with patients and answer the questions they might have so that they are able to make an informed, educated decision,” said Kirk.
