IN THE NEWS: A Virginia teenager treated at UC Irvine Medical Center for a neural disorder known as "suicide disease" is doing well after treatment by UCI Health neurosurgeon Dr. Mark Linskey.
While recuperating, KatieRose Hamilton is getting support from two other teens grappling with the disease, trigeminal neuralgia. KatieRose connected online with Abby Miller, a 14-year-old from Connecticut, who come to UC Irvine Medical Center for the same procedure, and 15-year-old Tyler Hatfield of Orange, who has been pain-free for 18 months since Linskey performed her surgery.
