Eye Mobile for Children

The UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute Eye Mobile for Children has provided vision services and screenings to underserved children across Orange County since 2015.

The Eye Mobile for Children is dedicated to delivering effective, efficient, high-quality vision care services to the children of Orange County with integrity and accountability, using both proven and innovative methods.

Its services are primarily funded with donor support.

Since 2015, the eye mobile has:

• Performed more than 28,393 free screenings
• Given 5,886 children comprehensive eye exams
• Provided 3,924 children with prescription glasses
• Visited 393 Orange County schools and head-start programs
