Lifang Xie is a licensed UCI Health acupuncturist with the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute and is trained in traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology.
Xie uses acupuncture and integrative health techniques to treat pain of all types, as well as gastrointestinal disorders, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, night sweats and hot flashes. She also treats patients for conditions such as acne, allergic rhinitis, asthma, hypertension, dysmenorhea, heavy menstrual bleeding, menopause and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy.
She received bachelor's and master's degrees in traditional Chinese medicine from, respectively, China’s Hebai Medical University and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She later earned a doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Her research focus is on the effects of electroacupuncture to treat hypertension in men and women,chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment and cancer survivorship.
Xie sees patients in Irvine and Yorba Linda.
