Dr. Kimberly R. Walker is a UCI Health optometrist who specializes in the management of pediatric vision, strabismus, amblyopia, myopia control and vision complications due to brain injury. She also treats diplopia in adult patients.
She earned her optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, Pa. Next, she completed a residency in vision therapy and rehabilitation at State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. She also received fellowship training from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development in Aurora, Ohio.
Walker's research interests include amblyopia, strabismus and vision differences in children with special needs. She is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and is an an investigator with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). As a developmental optometrist, she strives to improve vision and visual skills that enable her patients to achieve their full potential.
She has volunteered her services at the Special Olympics World Games and has participated in international medical missions to provide optometry care in Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji and Mexico.
Walker sees patients in Irvine and Orange.
