Dr. Eric D. Wang is a UCI Health plastic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopaedic hand surgery. His clinical interests include complex wrist surgery, reconstructive microsurgery and nerve reconstruction.
He earned his medical degree at Stony Brook University's Renaissance School of Medicine in Stony Brook, N.Y. He completed a combined residency in general and plastic surgery at the UC San Francisco School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in orthopaedic hand surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Wang's research interests include nerve repair and regeneration, targeted muscle reinnervation, patient outcomes in hand surgery, quality improvement and resident education. He is the author or co-author of more than a dozen papers that have been published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and other prestigious journals.
He sees patients in Orange, Costa Mesa, Tustin and Yorba Linda.
