Dr. Satinder Swaroop is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in interventional cardiology procedures, pacemakers and coronary stents. His clinical interests include coronary angiography, peripheral vascular disease and preventive cardiology.
He earned his medical degree from Government Medical College in Srinagar, India. After an internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Swaroop completed a cardiology fellowship at UCLA.
Swaroop has been a practicing cardiologist in California for five decades. During that time he has earned numerous awards and served as president of the Orange County Medical Association (OCMA) and chief of staff at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. He is regularly named an Orange County Physician of Excellence by OCMA. He also speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Dogri.
A longtime advocate of preventive cardiology, Swaroop believes that lifestyle changes and other measures play a major role in reversing and preventing heart disease.
He sees patients at UCI Health — Irvine and Gottschalk Medical Plaza.
