Dr. Gelareh Sadigh is a board-certified UCI Health neuroradiologist who specializes in imaging of the brain and spine. Her clinical interests include brain neoplasms and white matter diseases.
She earned her medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. She completed both a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. Prior to joining UCI Health and the UCI School of Medicine, she served as an assistant professor of radiology at Emory.
Sadigh is the author or co-author of more than 70 published manuscripts, with an emphasis on healthcare value and disparities. Her major areas of research interest include medical financial hardship, price transparency and costs of care, shared decision-making and healthcare utilization. She leads a study funded by the National Cancer Institute and National Institute of Health to test the effectiveness of mobile health interventions on improving oral chemotherapy adherence in patients with metastatic breast cancer and overcoming financial barriers.
She also serves as director of Radiology Health Services and Comparative Outcome Research for the Department of Radiological Sciences and is a member of the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Cancer's control program and committee on cancer care delivery.
