Dr. Stephen B. Prepas is a highly skilled, board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and pediatric and adult strabismus. He has extensive experience treating children for conditions such as myopia and amblyopia.
He earned his medical degree at UCI School of Medicine in Irvine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Prepas, who has been in practice for more than 40 years, is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). Throughout his career, he has volunteered his services to provide eye care in Orange County, the United States and in developing nations around the world.
