Dr. Xiao-Tang Kong is a board-certified UCI Health neuro-oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis and management of primary and metastatic tumors of the brain and spinal cord. She is also a neuro-oncology hospitalist who ensures continuity of care for patients during their hospitalization.

Kong earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology at UCI Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neuro-oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She also received a PhD from the University of Tokyo, Japan and a medical degree from Capital University of Medical Science in Beijing, China.

She is the author or co-author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. She also is deeply involved in enrolling and managing UCI Health clinical trials for brain and spinal cord tumors.

Kong, who speaks Chinese and Japanese fluently, sees patients in Orange and Laguna Hills.
