Dr. Shahira Khoury is a UCI Health physician who specializes in the care of all musculoskeletal conditions. Her clinical focus includes musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, arthritis, neck and back pain, sports injuries, as well as acute and chronic pain. She treats joint, muscle and tendon conditions, including facet arthritis and myofascial pain, as well as spine disorders such as spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and both cervical and lumbar radiculopathy.
Khoury earned her medical degree at Ain Shams University Medical School in Cairo, Egypt. Next, she completed an internship at the University of Toronto's Department of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in physical medicine an rehabilitation.
Her goal is to enhance her patients' quality of life with nonsurgical therapies for soft tissue injuries, myofascial trigger points and joint pain. These may include injections, soft tissue mobilization structured exercises and coordinating care by other allied health care professionals.
Khoury sees patients in Irvine, Orange and Tustin.
