Dr. Priyanka Iyer is a board-certified UCI Health rheumatologist who cares for a wide variety of patients with rheumatic diseases.
Her clinical practice includes the diagnosis and management of all forms of inflammatory arthritis — rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, axial and peripheral spondyloarthritis, gout and calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease. She also treats non-inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, systemic vasculitis, systemic sclerosis, IgG4-related disease and several other rare systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
Iyer earned her medical degree at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, India. She completed an internal medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
In addition to her clinical activities, Iyer's research interests include the role of palliative care in patients with systemic sclerosis. She also is developing a telehealth curriculum for rheumatology fellows. She has served on committees for the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in the field of rheumatology.
She sees patients in Orange and Yorba Linda.
