Dr. Almoatazbellah M. Idriss is a board-certified UCI Health endocrinologist who specializes in diabetes and metabolism, thyroid disease and other condition of the endocrinology system.
His clinical specialties include conditions affecting the adrenal, pituitary, thyroid and parathyroid glands, as well as hypogonadism, osteoporosis, mineral bone disease, diabetes and insulin pump management.
Idriss earned his medical degree at Cairo University's Kasr Al Ainy School of Medicine in Egypt. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
