Dr. Ramy M. Hanna is board-certified UCI Health nephrologist who specializes in the treatment of kidney disease and kidney dialysis.
He has extensive experience in many dialysis modalities, including working with patients who are on mechanical circulatory and those who have had multiple organ transplants.
Hanna earned his medical degree at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, Calif.
His research interests include glomerulonephritis, podocytopathies, atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome/thrombotic micro-angiopathy, hyponatremia management and theoretical modeling, and medical informatics. In 2017, he was appointed as a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He also is a member of the National Kidney Foundation.
Hanna, who speaks Arabic and Spanish, sees patients in Orange and Tustin.
