Dr. Kim Hecht is a board-certified UCI Health physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as pain management. She is medical director of the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, which is part of UCI Health.
She earned her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif., where she also completed a pre-doctoral teaching fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. She also completed an internship at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, Calif., and a residency with the UCI School of Medicine’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Hecht is passionate about supporting patients who suffer from pain. She partners with patients and their families, taking a whole-person approach to improving pain, function and quality of life. She blends a variety of integrative healing methods, including lifestyle recommendations, hormone replacement therapy, supplements, medical devices, osteopathic manual therapy and injections.
She also works in collaboration with a team of healthcare providers to help address her patients’ needs. This team includes physicians, mindfulness practitioners, nutritionists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, yoga therapists and physical therapists.
Hecht sees patients in Irvine and Newport Beach.
