Dr. Jefferson Y. Chan is a board-certified UCI Health clinical pathologist.
He received his medical degree from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in clinical pathology and laboratory medicine.
Chan's research is focused on molecular mechanisms underlying cellular stress responses and disease pathogenesis. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers published in leading medical journals.
