Dr. Mahta Baghoolizadeh is a board-certified UCI Health psychiatrist.
She earned her medical degree at UCI School of Medicine in Irvine, Calif., followed by a residency in psychiatry at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Calif. She also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCLA, where she served as chief fellow.
Baghoolizadeh serves as the medical director of the UCI Adolescent Partial Hospital Program, where she provides care to adolescents with serious mental illnesses in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Her clinical interests include obsessive compulsive disorder and anxiety. Baghoolizadeh provides her patients with the most up to date and effective treatments, seeking to help patients and families improve their lives and achieve their goals.
Baghoolizadeh, who also speaks Farsi, sees patients in Newport Beach and Orange.
