Dr. Emily Blodget is a board-certified UCI Health specialist in infectious diseases. Her clinical interests include HIV and AIDs, transplant infections and infectious diseases.

She earned her medical degree from University College Cork School of Medicine in Cork, Ireland. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, following by a fellowship in infectious disease from Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. She comes to UCI Health and the UCI School of Medicine from the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

Blodget's research interests include studying vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) infection in patients with cirrhosis who are awaiting liver transplantation. She is the author or co-author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.
