Dr. Navid Alem is a board-certified UCI Health anesthesiology who has advanced training in pain management and anesthesia.
Alem earned his medical degree from the UCI School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC in Los Angeles, where he subsequently completed a fellowship in pain medicine. He also received training in an array of medical, interventional and behavioral modalities to assist patients with acute and chronic pain syndromes. Alem continued additional training at USC in anesthesiology for complex neurosurgical cases.
His research interests include perioperative and intraoperative techniques that can help prevent patients from developing chronic pain syndromes post-surgery.
