Dr. Zhaohui L. Arter is a board-certified UCI Health thoracic oncologist.
She earned her medical degree at Nanjing Medical University in China. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at UCI Medical Center in Orange, Calif.
Arter has presented at prestigious oncology conferences including AACR, ASCO, and ESMO, earning numerous accolades such as the ASCO Conquer Cancer Merit Award, ESMO Merit Award, and IASLC Education Award. With more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, her clinical interests encompass targeted therapy, immunotherapy and novel therapeutic agents for lung cancer, thyroid cancer and other solid tumors. Her research focuses on uncovering resistance mechanisms to targeted therapies, with a deep passion for early-phase clinical trials. Arter is committed to translating groundbreaking scientific discoveries into first-in-human studies, advancing the field of oncology.
