Dr. Theresa L. Chin is a board-certified UCI Health surgeon who specializes in emergency, burn, trauma and critical care surgery. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgical approaches.
She earned her medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College in Richmond. After completing an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver, she completed fellowship training in burn and surgical critical care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Chin’s research interests include investigating clinical and translational outcomes in burn, trauma and general surgery patients, as well as domestic and international health disparities.
She sees patients at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
