Dr. Sonali Rao is a board-certified UCI Health anesthesiologist who specializes in critical care medicine.
She earned her medical degree at Grant Government Medical College in Mumbai, India. She completed both an internship in general surgery and a residency in anesthesiology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., followed by a fellowship in anesthesia and critical care medicine at the UCI School of Medicine.
Rao's research interests include assessments of fluid responsiveness in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. She is the author or co-author of a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
