
Phat T. Dang, MD

Dr. Phat T. Dang is a board-certified UCI Health anesthesiologist with fellowship training in both cardiothoracic anesthesiology and adult critical care medicine.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wis. He completed a surgery internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., followed by a general surgery residency at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dang went on to complete a second residency, in anesthesiology, at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in critical care medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He also received fellowship training in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.
Dang’s research interests include echocardiography to evaluate heart functions, as well as outcomes in critical care patients on mechanical support.
