Dr. Neal A. Maler is a board-certified UCI Health physician who specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. His clinical interests include diabetes mellitus, disorders of lipid metabolism, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, obesity and osteoporosis.
Maler earned his medical degree at the UCI School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, Calif., followed by fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the UCI School of Medicine.
His research interests include health policy. He has been an invited presenter at several national conferences.
Maler, who is fluent in Spanish, believes in working closely with his patients to help them achieve improved health.
