Dr. Ming Tan is a board-certified UCI Health physician who specializes in infectious diseases. His clinical interests include chlamydia and other sexually transmitted infectious diseases.
Tan earned his medical degrees at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Bethesda, Md. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio, followed by a fellowship in infectious disease at UC San Francisco.
His research interests include chlamydia, bacterial pathogenesis, gene regulation, gene expression, transcription, developmental regulation, systems biology, host-pathogen interactions, infertility and sexually transmitted infections.
