Dr. Matthew Keating is a board-certified UCI Health hematologist/oncologist who sees a wide variety of hematology and oncology patients.
Keating earned his medical degree at Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed an internal medicine residency at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage, Calif., followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R.I.
He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles on topics such as the identification and mitigation of adverse treatment effects, and a large retrospective analysis of patient outcomes in prostate cancer.
When he is not taking care of patients, Keating enjoys playing soccer, swing dancing, hiking and community outreach.
Keating, who speaks Spanish, sees patients at UCI Health Cancer Center — Newport in Costa Mesa and UCI Health — Yorba Linda.
