
Jennifer M. Elia, MD

Dr. Jennifer Elia is a board-certified UCI Health anesthesiologist and intensivist who specializes in the management of critically ill patients in operating rooms and the surgical and cardiovascular intensive care units.
Elia earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa. She completed a residency in anesthesiology at UCI Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in anesthesia and critical care medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Her research interests include delirium prevention, enhanced recovery after surgery, novel hemodynamic monitors and simulation in medical education. She is passionate about medical education and serves as the UCI School of Medicine's program director for the anesthesia and critical care medicine fellowship.
