Dr. Fawaz S. Al Ammary is a board-certified UCI Health nephrologist who specializes in kidney diseases and disorders and living donor kidney transplantation.
Al Ammary earned his medical degree at Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He completed an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Next he completed fellowships in both nephrology and transplant nephrology at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine in Denver, where he also earned a PhD in health services research.
He comes to UCI Health and UCI School of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, where he served as medical director of living donor kidney transplant services.
