Dr. Dawn M. Lombardo is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist whose clinical focus is on structural heart disease and heart failure.
Lombardo earned her medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. She completed a second fellowship in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Her research interests include heart failure and imaging in women's heart disease. She is the author or co-author of nearly two dozen research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
