Dr. Behram P. Mody is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. His clinical interests include cardiac critical care, arterial hypertension, cardiac amyloidosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
He also performs right heart catheterizations, endomyocardial biopsies and pulmonary artery pressure monitor implants.
Mody earned his medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed an internal medicine residency at State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., followed by a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. He completed an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant cardiology at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.
He has presented his research findings at various national conferences, including the Heart Failure Society of America and the American College of Cardiology, and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
Mody takes a comprehensive, personalized approach with each patient. His No. 1 focus is providing exceptional, evidence-based care and he strives to educate his patients on managing their heart health.
